A realtor must sell a house to an unwitting buyer. If he fails to do so... he'll be consumed by the spirits that live there.
When COVID rocked the world, we were all stuck at home. During that time, I sat down and wrote a short screenplay about a realtor in a "sticky" situation.
I was living with my wife in our condo at the time. We'd put our new home search on hold when the pandemic hit but I couldn't shake the topic of house hunting. What if... it was the house doing the hunting instead of the buyers... And so, Open House was born!
I gathered my friends in film and theatre whose work was on hold as the pandemic raged on. We shot our short horror film in late 2020, scored it in early 2021, and I put the finishing touches on it by year's end.
